162 games, even more blogs. From college to the minors to the pros. It's all here.

Twitter and baseball is like oil and water.

On April 28, I wrote about San Francisco Giant’s closer Brian Wilson and his struggles with booze, blowing saves, and Twitter.

Cardinal’s manager Tony LaRussa is no stranger to booze himself. And blowing saves. Now he can add the increasingly popular social networking tool to the list of his problems.

Yesterday, LaRussa proclaimed he’ll be suing Twitter for “significant emotional distress and damage to reputation” after a user created a profile masquerading as the popular manager.

At first glance, this would appear to be a rather petty issue that could certainly be settled outside of the courthouse. However, after reading some of the Tweets from the now-defunct page, it’s apparent that LaRussa has reason to be angry. On more than once occasion the imposter mentioned Darryl Kile and Josh Hancock, two tragically deceased former-Cardinals, in less-than-positive light. That’s a no-no.

Now entering Exhibit A.
