Seriously? Six stolen bases?

Tampa Bay’s Carl Crawford stole six bases today. And no, the Ray’s didn’t have a doubleheader.

The feat tied a modern major league record. Crawford joined the likes of Otis “Baseball’s Ugliest Player” Nixon, Eddie Collins,  and Eric Young in the exclusive club. The Ray’s leftfielder claimed he didn’t know that he accomplished the feat, saying he would have tried to break the record if he had known.

This gives Crawford an astounding 17 steals on the season.
