  1. How much do you want to wager on the idea that this kid will be traded by the end of the season, or not win a game the rest of the year? I think I could put 10 bucks on either and break even.

There is a great story that I am bummed you missed today. I’m not talking about A-rod, that guy is too easy to write about.(and people should stop doing it, honestly, enough is enough) I’m talking about Milwaukee Brewer Pitcher Yovani Gallardo. Last night he was a one man Pirate killer. (Pittsburgh not Somalian) Not only did he pitch 8 scoreless innings, he also hit the games only homerun to give himself and his team the victory. When was the last time that happened, and who did it? I can’t remember, help me out.

side note: Who would have thought Nick Swisher would be the Yankees’ best off-season pick up? I surely did not.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if Greinke was a Royal for a very, very long time. But, with that being said, no one seems to stay anywhere very long in baseball these days, so you’re probably right.

I love Gallardo. I profiled him a couple pages back. He actually hit a jack off Randy Johnson earlier this year and I think that one essentially won him the game too, albeit not 1-0. Ridiculous stuff.

      Swisher is awesome.

Side note: Swisher played baseball in Cape Cod and lived with my Aunt Lanzi for a summer.

  2. No SI jinx for this guy. Saw him pitch last night for the first time this season, looks like he’s for real…
