Get used to the bright lights, young man.

5.1 IP, 6H, ER, 2 BB, 5 K's.

If there’s anyone in the blogosphere who’s been touting National’s pitcher Jordan Zimmermann more than me, I don’t know who it is. Still, I digress.

The youngster pitched great baseball yesterday, this time against the New York Mets, earning his second win in as many tries. He now holds half of the Washington National’s four wins.

Can you spot the anomalies?

According to reports, Zimmermann was a little inefficient (finishing with 103 pitches through 5.1 innings) but still dominant against a very potent offense. He limited the Mets to 1 ER on 6 hits, avoiding trouble in the 5th inning via a popout and strikeout. He walked two.

Perhaps the most telling story from this game is that of his 5 K’s, 3 came against David Wright, one against Carlos Beltran, and one against Carlos Delgado.

DAMN.
